Re: MSD Trigger Wheel Dimension
Called MSD... Both the small block 7" trigger wheel and the 8" bbc trigger wheel have the same inner diameter. Another thing to note... The 7" Trigger Wheel is 1/4" thick and the 8" Trigger Wheel is 3/8" thick. something to consider for critical pulley alignment! Just t...

Re: MSD Trigger Wheel Dimension
That would be an option for tomorrow morning, and I will do that. Was hoping that someone here had the answer. These things keep me awake at night!
You would think that information would be readily available on their web site!

MFI throttle shaft lube?
For those running naturally aspirated stack injection, what are you using to lube the throttle shafts? Dry lube like PTFE, wet lube like WD40, what have you found to work best? One would think dry lube would be the better option as it does not tend to attract dirt,,, I have searched the forums for t...

Re: tall deck and intake spacer plates
Another question on the spacer plates... is there any affect on the intake port flow with the spacer plates. This is using an individual runner fuel injection manifold.

Re: New pistons 73g heavier
I'm going to be ordering these trend pins at 88g that's a saving of 42g so I'll be only 31g underbalanced so I'm sure that will be fine, unless for some reason this pin isn't a good idea in a street car ? Also I couldn't see the specs on the trend website but the seller confirmed the weight at 88g ...

Whatever you decide make sure it will hold up to fuel. From the last line of the instructions-- "NOTE: Not recommended for use on head gaskets or on parts in contact with gasoline." https://www.permatex.com/products/gasketing/ultra-series-gasket-makers/permatex-ultra-grey-rigid-high-torqu...

Re: tall deck and intake spacer plates
Thanks for the reply... I have seen a picture of an engine with the spacers and there was no gaskets just gray rtv, like ultra gray. That would have to be difficult to remove I would think.

Re: bbc oil pump on sbc iron eagle 434
As specified in the block spec/instruction sheet to use BBC oil pump drive shaft. I guess it could be used as a generic reference to OAL.
Thanks for the reply!

Re: New pistons 73g heavier
"5 + 5 = 10 grams. 50% of weight for reciprocating is 5 grams." Roger on that. After 4 martoonies, thingz get off a bit. For vintage circle track engines, we go for as light a bob weight as we can get. I have taken more than that off of forged pistons many times. From just looking at the ...
