50lbs?
hybrid in that it had later ports (but not as good as the 4.0 HO ports) but shaft rockers and was shipped un milled so we ended up with a very thick deck
Any more details on the hybrid head you mention?

Re: ARP Ultra lube on spark plugs?

Milk of magnesia. We use it on helicopters. Makes a magnesium dry lube when dry. (magnesium hydroxide). The plugs always come out without galling. Really. No kidding. I was about to say this. There was a thread on here a while back that had a similar discussion to this. But it was more toward antis...

BTW here is one made by Hy-Lube that is very similar to the system1 adapter, but a lot cheaper: http://www.ebay.com/itm/380919869134?ss ... 1423.l2649

Re: Don't stay in the Dyno Cell during a pull!

Bad enough in the same car when something blows, I was talking to a guy in Florida years ago who had no foot from a flywheel explosion. This is a wake up for me, I hope to never see a cylinder head just pop loose on me  This guy was a bit luckier, but could ended the same way: http://www.car...

Re: Oil filter remote adapter.. Canton or Hamburger?

Are there better spin-on adapters for flow through the adapter? I received my Hamburger/Trans-dapt 3320 block adapter. It doesn't have the issue that the Earl's you have has. The center bolt is fed by an angled passage and the hollow filter mount bolt does not protrude into the passage. Its a prett...

Re: Oil filter remote adapter.. Canton or Hamburger?

I currently have the CV-745 remote filter mount which takes the stock sized 3/4-16, Wix 51515 for example, thread filter. Would it be worth going to the larger CV-746 that uses 13/16-16 threads with a filter that flows more? The block adapter will still be going to the stock 3/4-16 mount. Block out ...

Re: Oil filter remote adapter.. Canton or Hamburger?

System1 makes one that looks pretty good, but haven't seen it in person. It is also a bit expensive. I haven't ordered the Hamburger one yet, but I may today.

Re: Oil filter remote adapter.. Canton or Hamburger?

Speaking of fittings, would there be an advantage (or disadvantage) to use AN o-ring port hose end vs. a standard AN hose end with an o-ring adapter?

Re: Oil filter remote adapter.. Canton or Hamburger?

Every bend does make pressure drop. Oh, I do know this. But that 5# seems a bit high. This is also why I also would go with the -12 An hose over the -10 hose. I would take Hamburger, as fittings goes straight up. There is a tight turn right from the start in Canton piece. Both models would have sam...

Re: Oil filter remote adapter.. Canton or Hamburger?

every 90 degree turn in the system will cost you a 5 # pressure drop that is why we feed the front of the main oil gallery on SBC instead of feeding thru the original oil filter boss. Even with a fitting such as this:? http://www.russellperformance.com/mc/hose_ends/img/610260_lg.jpg also do you wan...
