Re: Got my 306 on the engine dyno today
Hiya, All was forgiven before we even posted. It boils down to a misunderstanding and I am the worst thinking it is already a known thing. This is a good place to share. A lot of huge experience and knowledge is available at this site. Yes, it's sad to see people pay over and over again before they ...

Re: Got my 306 on the engine dyno today
Why the anger? I guess I should have stated the obvious that Tuner more eloquently covered. You did a good job covering most of it as well. However, claiming a VR or Unilite or Hall is equal is a farce. Everything around it has its own skew as well. You do know I used to work for Mallory Ignition an...

Re: Got my 306 on the engine dyno today
Hiya, A small amount of mis-direction in this thread and I don't want to derail Nate's build. It isn't the boxes that have retard, it is inherent of the magnetic reluctor. Some boxes try to correct for it is all. Change the gap on the reluctor while on a machine and see. MSD knew this with their &qu...

Hiya,
Use and buy the GM one, do NOT oil the inner lip like we all used to do. Also... outer lip with a light oil instead of silicone.

Re: 1994 350 TBI questions
Hiya, I hate to bombard this site with "old school" obd1 stuff. Does your check engine light work? If it does and is flashing rapidly, you have an eprom problem or a connection thereof. If it flashes once, goes off and is solid, the computer has checked the eprom and all is well inside the...

Vrbancic Brothers Racing
Nice people, dyno not so much. 15+ years or so since I have been there. Data is key.
I am not bashing.
I'm sure this combination is great. The numbers show a broken stock block is imminent.
Enjoy

Re: Suggestions for a 4x4 pickup truck
Hiya Kevin, From my experience, the 2007-2009 Chev/GMC have problems due to the introduction of the E38 ECU, actually nothing wrong with the ECU but wiring hadn't caught up. If GM, choose 2011 and up. I get calls to help Fords with problems dealerships can't seem to fix, so, for me a no go on the Fo...

Hiya,
Once the tune is correct, it won't care much about closed vs open loop. Of course closed is better for fuel economy when environments change(ie altitude, temp, etc)

Here's your stock .bin file as well as most of the descriptions internally, of course these numbers won't match whatever has been done to the stock file. The 3.73 and 4.10 files are the same, the DRAC module controls the speedometer accuracy. Prog ID BCC Size Year Release Date Eprom ECM Prom ID Scan...

Hiya,
Stainless is the best but it is heavy. A lot of times, I will use aluminum to cut the weight and have it hard coat anodized. The hard coat is a darker grey, many times it is black anodized after.
