Re: need a partnumber & bolt torque

I would recommend calling the place that supplied/manufactured your engine block for the seal part#, and torque specs.

As for a pan, why not try an aftermarket type with improved oil and windage handling? Depends on your budget and oil
system you intend to use.

Re: Gaterman Lifters?

Not too sure about Gaterman, but for your needs and RPM limit you should have no issues finding a lifter to handle the work.

What sort of problems are you seeing now?

Re: Why do Cryo'd sparkplugs make more horsepower?

Theory:

Cryo'd plug > more efficient voltage transfer across the gap > less energy used to produce spark > less load on alternator > less power used by engine.

There, mystery solved!

the house it beautiful, and if you navigate around Google you will see that the neighbourhood is immaculate.

Movin' onto the next prospect...

Re: Some people have no clue, or you get what you pay for.

I get that sort of crap from the retail side all the time (e-mail shoppers): "I can get this insert product here on E-bay for $xx.xx dollars, can you beat that price?" or Them > "How much for a set of wires?" Me > "What car/year/engine/etc/?" Them > " insert...

Re: Bought a Kit Car

People have modified the seat rails to increase headroom, and/or found lower profile seats. Don't let that stop you! If you're good with fiberglass and welding, the roof can be extended a couple of inches too. That's way out of my league, however there are some builders chopping the cage to install ...

Re: Bought a Kit Car

Yes, the values you quote are about right (depending on options). With an LS7 powering the car (or similar power), Factory Five Claims 0-60 in seconds; 11 sec quarter; and top speeds near 200 MPH. Re: Bought a Kit Car

Has to be LS series (to fit motor mounts and transaxle); thinking more along LS6 or a very healthy LS1 to start with.

You live in Quebec, CAN.?

Bought a Kit Car

Yep, another money pit, when will I ever learn? The Camaro is gone after a few years of blood, sweat and tears...actaully no tears surprisingly. Now I'm getting into something I've always wanted and dreamed of doing: building, or restoring a car from frame up! The wiring, engine, suspension work, et...
