Re: 5/8 wheel stud shoulder
I ran mine with the shoulder recessed all last year. 100 passes with 1.2x 60ft. Not ideal as the spacer/washers are sloppy on the threaded portion of the stud. I was using a pair of spare wheels with new ones on order. At the end of the year both the wheels and studs are fine. Long term I'd get long...

Re: Wheel shimmy after wheelie
The twisted torsion bars do not help. Also, I would recommend you use the aftermarket strut rods with the spherical bearings. http://www.qa1.net/qa1_motorsports/drag-and-street/suspension-components/dynamic-strut-bars/mopar-dynamic-strut-bars.html A" twisted bar Does not help" as in contr...

Re: Wheel shimmy after wheelie
May not need the light bars to help pitch rotation. If so I'll go to the thicker bars that I have, easy swap. Still wondering if there is anything I should do to prevent shimmy in this stage of the build.

Re: Wheel shimmy after wheelie
Car is brand new. Ready to get aligned. I'm looking at preventing the problem before it happens. 64 Belvedere, poly strut rod & lower bushings, offset rubber upper bushings,6 cylinder bars. Strut rods have been shortened slightly, this along with the offset uppers should make 3 1/2-4 degrees of c...

Wheel shimmy after wheelie
Has your car done it? And if so were you able to cure it. Does anyone know the real cause. Many I've talked to have added urethane bushings, tubing control arms, zeroed bump steer, all with limited results.

Re: Supercharger info
A V-671 is much smaller then a 671,You are luck to get 8# of boost,Resale value is very low compaired to a real 671...I would not buy it..Oldhead The 6V-71 dyers stuff does not have teflon strips. !2 psi is no problem. But make no mistake these are pretty much "Street Rod" blowers. That b...

Re: Supercharger info
I've owned this setup for over 25 years. Works fine for street use. Mine runs a modified single plane intake, 2" drive, 12lbs boost. Runs decent but not outstanding power. My car is a 340 Mopar iron heads 240@.050" cam 3875Lbs. Runs consistant 11.0@122 thru mufflers.

Re: Dynamic compression with Aluminum Rods
Has anyone done a cranking compression test on the engine hot and cold? If so how much difference have you seen. Stan I haven't checked it warm yet. 205 psi cold. I had to add .020" deck clearance in order to keep the piston from touching the head due to the additional expansion of the aluminu...
