Re: ideas on ford 331

What objective is this engine supposed to satisfy...? That differentiation alone could change many of the parameters of this engine build depending upon what priorities which are attempting to be fulfilled. As long as it can go say, 30-40,000 miles in between rebuilds...….I want to make as much pow...

This is what I've been using on Edelbrock and similar heads with 11/32" valve stems. (These are Holley castings) Easy drop in deal for most of these heads. https://i.imgur.com/N3yNVqzl.jpg what brand and part number? pressures? This is that kit but I have others. http://www.flowtechinduction.com/lu...

Re: ideas on ford 331

Heads look beautiful! Sounds like a great little combo the way it is. The small cubes won't really need a bunch of head work. You may make some small gains, but I don't think you'll do a whole lot to make significantly more power via the long block. If you crank up the cam much more, you'll start t...

Re: ideas on ford 331

That must be a lil screamer. 10:1? Possible it could handle another point of compression depending on what you plan on for a cam change? I know some people freak out with street driven often and solid roller in the same sentence but I think theres some power there also. Is that the gross cam lift w...

Re: ideas on ford 331

Edelbrock advertises the heads in the 260 cfm zone...…..I would think they will pick up 30 or so...(around 290cfm) and probably 15-20 in the meat of the curve... .400-.600

Re: Intake manifold advice for VORTEC style....

I have to believe......the more cfm a head flows......the bigger the demand for the single plane, no? Could the Airgap manifold in his testing done well because its so much easier to support 260 cfm, than if the heads moved say.....300cfm?
