Eric do you think the HV 1016 "sucked" because of the way it is cast?
The port exit, as you know, isn't even really a clean port exit its so small and square on top too.

Re: Intake Manifold testing
Just dug out my old Sept. 2008 Chevy Hi performance Mag with their 16 manifold test. The Brodix HV1016 of the 6 modern dual planes tested had low lowest avg. hp and torque. Not by much only 2-3 ft-lb of torque and 2-3 hp less than most others the RPM air gap was 7ft-lb and 6 hp better average. Inte...

Re: Intake Manifold Porting Show ‘n Tell
BRODIX HV1016 This is a manifold I've always wanted to try and never seen or read a test on. I own at least 10 dual planes and this one by far is the biggest casting with the largest runners from the carb surface. The casting quality is also the best I own. The divider is almost completely gone as c...

Re: Race gas price
Will race gas go down? It should some!!! Why should the price of racing fuel go down? The price of racing fuel is only loosely coupled to the price of crude oil. Race fuel has no real connection to pump gas, either in composition, packaging, distribution or pricing. Pump gas may contain over 400 di...

Re: Sbc 400 vs 415 vs 427?
Why not use the 5.850 rods? Available and provide more cam clearance. Use a 1.25 c/h piston and let piston come out of hole .012” or use custom pistons, or just use a slightly shorter stroke crank if you don’t like a slightly positive deck. When buying a new crank custom work that doesn’t cost much ...

Re: Trick Flow 175cc "Double hump" heads.
383 cid and 250 cfm heads should get ya 485 hp very easy if you want to run atleast .550" lift, if your not inclined to run that much lift then you need to root around to get 270 cfm from those heads. For my Dollar I would go for a set of AFR or the Edelbrock e heads. Indeed sir. This looks li...
