Re: Small cams on 106-108 LSA’s

Bullet racing cams will tell you a 108 lobe sep is better for a heavy car like yours. 4000# is heavy. Even 3400# would still be a heavy car.

Re: square jetting a t ram

Thanks for the info on that. The carbs are custom built by Dom@Thumpercarbs. He uses the same size carbs on his 470 with no pv's and says it runs very good on the street this way. Does not run pig fat. I just want to give it a try. I have a drawer full of pv's and and always go back if need be. He u...

Re: square jetting a t ram

ok, i have a jet flow chart and i can calculate. carbs set sideways and have .070 BLP jets in all corners. a .070 in a BLP jet is a .070 in a Holley jet.

square jetting a t ram

Been trying to run 4 pv's in a twin 650 tunnel ram set up using .056 PVCR's and .070 main jets. I want to try square jetted no pv's. How much main jet should i start with?

Re: power valve circuit myths

Mark i watched your vid. Maybe i'm wrong here, but when you introduce vacuum to the pv it closes the pv. Removing vacuum opens it.

Re: Tuning 750 BLP carbs on a 511 with Indy t ram

From the research and feed back i have done i'm very confident that the issue is the power valves late opening. I have some 8.5's and 10.5's ordered. My cruising vac is in the 14-15" area. The tune is coming around real nice as the last test drive showed 4.5 seconds from 60 to 110mph and very respon...

Re: T slot questions

Not really what i would call a bog at this point. A flat spot milli seconds short would be a better description.

Re: power valve circuit myths

That has been my theory as well. I'll get some 10.5's to try. I was just gonna square jet it without pv's, but i think it would cruise way too fat. PV is the way to go for street i think. Thanks guys

Re: power valve circuit myths

To be clear, my pv is not blown. I was making kind of an example. Yes, raising float levels help this issue in a big way. Also, going from 31 squirter to 35's helped. I tried 37's and they were no better than the 35's. Cruising 30mph in 3rd gear and then jabbing throttle wide open still causes a qui...

Re: power valve circuit myths

I was stating that my 6.5 pv’s do not pass fuel at my idle vacuum. I understand now that pv circuit is with the boosters and not the t slot. Cruise vac is 14” and I want to try 8.5’s to cover a slight hiccup at full throttle jab in high gear. I figure it needs more fuel quicker. T ram set up with tw...
