EQ CH350G or CH350H Heads For Sale?

I was just wondering if anybody has a set of the EQ CH350G or CH350H heads that they would like to sell. I need a set for a customer.

Thanks

Re: Loosening rod bolts

Not a issue as long as you fill the side clearance gap with feeler gauges. What you really need to be concerned with in a race motor is the fact that once rod bolts have been torqued up 4 times they need to be replaced or you take a good chance of them failing dependant on how much of there ultimat...

Re: When is a 4-7 swap effective?

Well if you have this data why don't you share it to end the debate. Otherwise you too only share an opinion...... How was Ford so much more advanced than everybody else for decades? If the guy who runs the dyno at Hendricks says it works, it probably does. What’s completely fascinating abou...

Re: When is a 4-7 swap effective?

That being said, I would use the LS swap in just about anything. Again, the gains are dependant on the level of the build. Btw, the "buttery smooth" doubters, have you ever tested the various firing orders with an accelerometer? Without data, it's an opinion! :P Well if you have this data...

Re: When is a 4-7 swap effective?

David Vizard is currently working on a book about the small block Ford Windsor engines. One of the tests that I suggested he try would be to run the engine with the 289/302 (same as normal Chevy) firing order and then try the same cam grind using the 351 Windsor firing order(same as LS) just to see...

Re: Chevy 400 thrust Main Failure Ideas??

Dave, I had that happen once on a pulling truck engine, the owner installed a new double disc clutch assembly and transmission, the input shaft was too long, and it burnt the main up. They called and said the engine was smoking out the valve cover, I went to do a cylinder leak test and the engine r...

Re: When is a 4-7 swap effective?

The 4/7 swap as far as power improvements is very slight and tends to be slightly effective on engines such as the ones with the chevy firing order and depending on intake manifolds where it helps keep cylinders 5 & 7 from fighting each other for the air/fuel charge. The best firing order swap ...

How far can you deflect the crank by pushing on it with your thumb?

Re: Chevy 400 thrust Main Failure Ideas??

This was a new/fresh build. I didn't test for end play when I put it on the dyno but the bell housing slid right up to the block by hand very easily, clunk as its done many times in the past. I didn't test it for end play once it was installed but that would be a good idea in the future. I just didn...

Chevy 400 thrust Main Failure Ideas??

Last week I had a 400 Chevy come through that I dyno tested for a customer. All was well and it ended up making 645 horsepower at about 6800rpm. Other than a leak at the rear of the engine there were no obvious problems. Over the weekend he took the oil pan off to fix the leak and he found that the ...

Re: Question about Bullet Cams Company

I don't know about their new stuff but they do have the masters for the old Ultradyne, Lazer and probably some other old cam companies that went out of business so if you're needing any of those grinds they do have them available.

Re: What Have You Learned from Tech?

Check out some of the older Hot Rod magazines from the early to mid 1960's and you can see an amazing difference in the writing as well as the quality of the information. Back then they didn't have TV shows and other stuff so maybe that's the source of some of the dilution..
