Not as smart as I think I am.
1. Does the valve turn opposite rotation from the grinding wheel?
2. Do they turn in the same direction but at difference speeds?
3. Is there any problem using VR-1 AND Lucas break in additive for initial start?

Re: Knock in bottom end at idle only, help with diagnosis
FWIW. Back when I knew little but thought otherwise I assembled an AMC 360/390 with PAW (long gone Performance Automotive Warehouse) parts. It had a nearly inaudible tick at idle. Re: Things that make me worry and scratch my head!
I am 68 yo and the change in our education system I have seen makes me sad and concerned for the generations to come. The youth is pushed thru school with little regard for the end product. It seems the mentality is that if you can't reach the bar we will lower it for you. The case in point, I know ...

Re: What's the best CAST IRON 2 barrel intake manifold for 350 sb
C/50-60 and school bus manifolds have a very tall carb mounting pad and are outlawed by some stock car tracks possibly indicating an unfair advantage. I and many others have sought for and used the "CANADIAN" (letters cast into a runner and very visible) intake. Great on the dyno and track.

Re: Anyone grinding cams for Desoto Hemis?
I had a Chevette cam reground by a company called Elgin. I believe the owners name is Dema. Wonderful service and a very nice, good performing cam .I believe they grind for all engines.

I guess that during these trying times anything that helps you keep your head on straight is a big plus. Having said that I sure miss the days of the non cookie culler bodies, big block engines, and drivers with a genuine personality.

Re: A GOOD ghost from the past; how nice in these hard Coronatimes
Where I live, a small coastal New England town, it is always slow in the winter. I see little to no change. It is 12 miles to the nearest supermarket. Once there you see no difference until your inside. Even then pretty normal until you pass the tissue isle....empty. What an odd sight, almost movie ...
