Re: What Happened to Electric Vehicle Sales?
In our community, parents commute on city streets with Naderesque electric golf carts and, further, allow their unaccompanied children to compete for Darwin Awards with same. Q.E.D. For true. If one really wants to kill his kid, give him anything motorized and unsupervised; the leading cause of tee...

Re: Can A SBM Crank Be Machined for a 1.88 Rod ?
Since this will require custom pistons anyway, might as well discuss a stroker. Are there any other clearance problems with a smaller rod big end swinging in a longer stroke?

Re: piston domes
Here is something to think aBOUT. A few months ago I put together a 406 for my kids to go drag race. AFR 227 heads, BIG dome pistons, big roller cam and 14 to one compression. It make 721 HP at 7300 RPM with one 1050 carb.. I LOVE BIG DOMES. You figure it out from there. JOE SHERMAN RACING ENGINES ...

Another vote for the 400"; to make it live long and prosper:
Square deck block
Torque plate honing
Pistons with thin rings
New radiator and new oil cooler

Bronze guides/liners in "nailhead" Buicks
A customer has been told because of the unique rocker angles, the old Buicks can't use bronze guides or guide liners. Anyone have enough experience with these to comment?

Learn something every day. That 30 degrees of advance at idle may only be applicable to highly modified Willys six-cylinders w/EFI; I'd never have thought to try that much initial advance on a flathead.
