At the US Nationals a few guys ran dragsters with inline engines timed at 90-degrees with great success, couple of guy's tried 45 degrees and 45 shook like hell. The twin engines allowed the sbc go 200 mph , IIRC it ran 190 all day long on one engine.

Belgain1979 , Why not use some .001 brass shim stock between the main caps and the block ? from the last pics I have seen that engine is just too tight , if you don't want to do that then a line hone is your next fix. JMO

If I read your email right the good cylinders are leaking a 5% and the bad ones are leaking a 15% I would say run it. I assume you are just index racing, so just dial the time you want to run.
