Re: Temperature Increase on Highway
No. Overflow tube goes straight to the ground. 16lb cap and it never overflowed. I do mean like the factory has used since the 80's. I call it a recirculating tank because the aftermarket sells recovery tanks that don't recirculat. It is not about overflowing it is about using your whole radiator, ...

Re: Temperature Increase on Highway
Are you using a recirculating overflow can? You need it to get and keep air out of the system. If you are using one make sure you have the correct radiator cap on, not all of them will recirculate. Re: Best cooling system flush chemical?
Am I the only one who has used Evaporust Thermocure radiator rust remover? Maybe because it is not corrosive or Environmentally safe you think it doesn't work? You don't know what you are missing!

Re: Best cooling system flush chemical?
Evaporust makes a radiator flush that worked real good for me in removing the rust in my water jackets. And it is environmentally friendly.

Re: 5/8 wheel stud shoulder
Does not seem like a good design to me, weaker, heavier, and requires tighter tolerances, and likely to have the problem you are having. So, must be beyond my understanding. Sorry. The design is heavier, and the tolerance is tight since it requires wheels that are lug eccentric, but they are very v...

Re: 5/8 wheel stud shoulder
The shank of the stud should not be contacting the wheel anyway, it should be floating in the hole. only the lug nut should be touching the wheel. No, not with 5/8 studs. The wheel sits in the shank part of the wheel stud. On a 5/8 stud there is a part, a very long part where there is no threads, t...

Re: 5/8 wheel stud shoulder
Different/longer shouldered studs available? I think most of the holding is in the flat surfaces that are torqued down, like a woodruff keyed front pully, key locates but does little holding. Keep a check on the torque AND any sign of fretting of hub, spacer and wheel. Torque in a pattern and 2 or ...

5/8 wheel stud shoulder
I am using Strange 5/8 wheel studs. I need to run a .200 thick spacer to move my slick away from my frame (giving me 1/2 inch) which will cause the shoulder of my stud to be .100 short in order for my rim to completely ride on the shoulder. My rim thickness is .890 and I will have .790 riding on the...

Re: 2.5" v 3" exhaust on a 500HP 406sbc ?
I have a 572 that made 850hp on a Dyno that I am running through dual 3 inch mandrel pipes and large 3 chamber Flowmaster with a h pipe. I have run 10.40@129. The car with a small block full tank of gas and me in it weighed 3900. Now it has a cage and the 572, so I am guessing 4200. The car should b...

Re: Titan Speed Engineering Oil Pumps
I don't know where else you can get one. My most recent dealing with Titan was about a year and a half, it was the new owner. He was a little hard to reach for me also, but just as nice as the original owner.
