Re: Extending intake dividers
Great information shared by Larry,Chad and Mike on there results, what it does tell me there are no guarantees as Larry and Chad had opposite outcomes on the dyno. On the 4500 plenum I think the extensions don't hurt area like a 4150 plenum but that is me thinking out loud. I am working on a 4150 SV ...

Re: Solid roller spring suggestions please
I have run the PSI 1277 springs for years and been happy with them. I just upgraded to a PSI 1.30" diameter spring looking for better stability in the valve train to turn 8000rpm. The springs are not much more expensive but I had to get a custom set of retainers from xledyne which were expensi...

Re: When does custom porting become beneficial?
Any idea what these things flow stock? Dart has 2 numbers. Catalog says 238cfm, tech sheet says 210. Just curious if anyone has ever flowed a set. I went back through my notes Intake 210cfm - 0.500" lift @ 28" Exhaust 138cfm - 0.500" lift @ 28" They are typical sbc ports that bo...

Re: Inexpensive 350 Build
Great job and keep up the good work. I love seeing somebody who doesn’t just build an engine and think they have a race car. You are going to upset a lot of hobby types who do not understand average power and making a car work. Love following along with this and look forward to you continuing to up...

Re: When does custom porting become beneficial?
I ran those heads in different configurations for a number of years from 10.6.1 - 11.65.1 compression in my 3620 pound streeter. A few years ago on my dart 383 block those heads made 522 ftlbs @ 5300rpm and 570hp @ 6600rpm. Average CSA was 2.15" still with 1.94" - 1.5" valves. Ported...

Re: Moroso Speed Calculator 89650
I've seen the old Moroso slide rule has been mentioned here at Speed-Talk every now and then. I was kind of surprised at the amount of merit it gets from folks I wouldn't have thought put any faith into it. Opinions? FWIW, I went back and dug out some old time slips, chassis dyno results, engine bu...
