im not sure they backed off to 100mm for combustion reasons, they added 2 more cylinders like their motogp bike big ass twins DO take up alot of room in side view, IMO a V4 packages much nicer where you can afford the width. and going to more/small cylinders with the same b/s ratio or even a lower ...

what about comparing powerbands
im not aware of a widely used standard like X rpm over 80% peak torque.
I think many would be shocked to see just how WIDE modern motorcycle powerbands are even if they dont start at the lowest rpm.

well, your not going to get a 4v head with SOHC and buckets, less you use (a) rocker arm(s) for the exhaust.
