Re: Opinions/Experiences with Total Seal Quick Seat
David Vizard talks about it in his " Chevy Big Blocks Book ". I had my bores finished with 400 grit stones followed by brush hone. Sprayed Gunk engine cleaner one bore at a time and used a green Scotch-Brite pad to rub the bore surface in an up and down motion for a couple of minutes or s...

Re: polishing piston rings?
My father, who went into the automotive repair business shortly after W.W.2,said Bon-Ami could be used if the rings in a rebuilt engine failed to seat. He said it would be mixed with kerosene and trickled down the intake. Never mentioned pouring it into the plug holes.

Re: Holley squirter question.
I ran in to the same situation when I switched to E-85 in my 750D.P. My solution was to replace the check valve with a check ball from a rebuild kit. I had one that was 5/32", and it solved the problem. Only a very small contact point to stick in the seat.

Re: Aftermarket BBM head
My 2 cents, Size the intake valve as big as necessary(or bigger) to utilize the available intake port area. Fill the remaining chamber space with the biggest ex. valve that fits.Done.

Re: How to groove a main bearing
Have you run the tube from rear passenger side to front driver side oil galley? That is supposed to supply more oil to the front.https://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-fo ... ods.55518/ Scroll down midway in the post for pics.

Re: Main Bearing Question
Not good. That and the missing plug would be enough for me to want to check-EVERYTHING- in the engine. Was it seated properly/completely in the block? Trash or a burr between bearing &cap? Here's one place a hunk of plastigauge might be helpful.

Re: GT45 Turbo For Dummies
Decide what engine combo you are going to run, educate yourself and determine what you need to meet your performance goals. Absent that, consult with a professional, not just an Ebay seller, have them choose a turbo that will meet your need, and buy it from them. The latter would probably be your be...

Not an expert by any means, but I will suggest reading "Maximun Boost" by Corky Bell. That and the internet is all the "training" I had. The G.T. 45 is way too big for that engine. Get lots more info before spending your hard earned $$$.Cheaper to only do it once.

Re: GT45 Turbo For Dummies
I run two of them on a 470 B.B.M. and bought them "back in the day" when they were $249. I didn't know they came with different exhaust A/R's. I would caution you to disassemble, clean & de-chip them before use. Found numerous burrs hanging around in mine. Other than that they work wel...

Re: More rocker geometry & valve lift curve stuff
Brad, I installed the B3RE kit on my Edelbrock Perf. RPM, big mopar heads and had similar results to your "A" vs "A" test. Greatly reduced sweep with slightly less lift. Running Comp. pro magnum rockers.

Steve Dulcich did a very good series of porting articles on Mopar iron b.b. heads about 15 years ago. Search it, it should still be available on the web somewhere.

I have a set on my car.Custom lengths and routing for a turbocharged 383. 0 wire problems in 6 summers. Can't speak to power gain claims as it's the only set of wires I have used on it since I got it back on the road. Rick was a great guy to deal with, and all the custom lengths were made right the f...
