Re: OEM rings in the 1960s
In the mid 70s I hung around an open wheel road race team. There was a Stuska dyno there. The American Ralt importer's team rented space in the building across the parking lot. They got their watercooled SuperVee engines from Engine Developments (John Judd) in England. One day, they brought a new en...

Re: Rochester Ram Jet Fuel injection
A VERY long time ago I helped turbocharge a Rochester equipped 350. The engine was a stock 2bbl from a Chevelle. The owner had ditched the manifold and carb for an Edlebrock and a 650. With headers it made 290hp on a Stuska. The turbo conversion used RotoMaster manifolds and I don't know what turbo....

I'm remembering a thread about raising inlet ports with a bunch of weld. Chad was going to do the ports. I wonder how they came out?

I remember reading that NHRA Pro Stocks (with carbs) used the same jets at Denver as at lower tracks.

Re: Whiteperfomance1 & Assault Racing - heads any good???
I'm told Timken built a bearing plant in China. They couldn't get good bearings out of it all the time. They finally gave up, passed the plant keys to the Chinese and quit the country.

Re: Why not more polymer manifolds?
A few years ago I saw a 4cyl turbo manifold that was made from Ultem????? on a Fortus-Stratasis machine. It had not worked out on the engine. It had cracked in 30+ places between the injectors and the head during mapping w/Mobil 93. When the replacement aluminum manifold was first run the throttle b...

Re: The true compression of stock 426 street hemi !
I was at a dyno test of a Barton 526 street Hemi. It 's oil pressure dropped at the top of 200rpm/sec pulls. The person in charge thought that all the oil wasn't draining back from the heads at speed.
