Hi Guys,
Please put David Vizard in your prayer circles and keep him in your prayers.
He's got some internal bleeding issues and hopefully will come through
just fine.
Cheers,
Spike

Re: David Vizard & Terry Walters Sad Issues
That mod was never in the plan. It was a bait and switch from Terry Walters. Terry should have paid to have the engine sent back to him and he could have done that himself and fixed the oil leaks from the engine. I had specific things I needed at the time which didn't happen. I can't do the work any...

Re: Holley Vacuum Secondary VS. Double Pumper
Interesting, well DV should make that a big flowing carb with vs then. We'll see how it all works out.

Re: Holley Vacuum Secondary VS. Double Pumper
Hi and thanks for comments. I put a trutrac with 3.31 gears with a custom hybrid torque converter at about 4,000 stall. The chevelle had in it 3.71 gears and driving on the freeway at 4000 - 5000 rpm (if I recall correctly, yes in in Texas we run fast) just sucked up too much fuel. The 468 that I pu...

Holley Vacuum Secondary VS. Double Pumper
Hi Everyman, Could someone give me the pluses and minus of each type carb? I have a choice between the two. I'm not familiar with the Vacuum secondary carbs from Holley. What do I need to be aware of to make a proper decision. It's going on the 496 that Terry Walters built to David Vizards specifica...

Re: Holley 950 Ultra HP Carb
UPDATE I'm un-did what mods I could, because I'm sending the carb back to David Vizard. He gets the benefit of the lower IFRs and #2 and #4 eholes blocked. sadly, I wrecked the gaskets in the process, oh well. Along with that I'm sending the distributor as well. It wasn't an HEI unit that the engine...

Re: David Vizard & Terry Walters Sad Issues
update DV and I chatted, he wanted TW to be left out of it for some reason. I'm sending back my Holley 950 Ultra XP carb. DV thought he had enough in his parts bin to put together a carb. So it won't be an AED. Wondering how much performance do you get from a vacuum secondary Holley? The man thing I...

Re: Holley 950 Ultra HP Carb
@ rgalajda, Two things in that post. 1. I was trying to figure out where the spring goes? In the prior post (maybe 4 or 5 now) I have pics of the carb body and the black spring. Holley told me it goes into the center of the carb body to tension their center air inlet. It is too large to fit there. 2...

Re: Holley 950 Ultra HP Carb
UPDATE: I pulled the center air screw (more like an open jet) and there is no spring in there. The spring I show sticking out, a few posts prior to this, will not go inside the hole to provide tension. Holley said it was like the DEMON carb, but no way. My thinking it to see of there is a nylon wash...
