Yes we heat them with a propane torch and that burns off the black fuel fouled plugs.

I have a couple of them on newer cars we just replace them but on real old stuff we use them and have no problems just make sure there is no sand stuck down in the plug.

You can get it out with scotch Brite. Pad and solvent tank

doesnt matter ecept for too high of idle when hooked to manifold.
