Re: What coil?
The MSD 8207 coil is a great coil & have used many of them without problems. It can be used with the MSD CD boxes or with HEI. Depending on the CD box chosen, there may be a higher output coil that would be a better choice. Why spend big bucks on the ign box but then fail to use the best coil you c...

More power and torque everywhere. To make the most out of the extra cubes though, a cam change could be in order.

Re: What coil?
Buy two, one for a spare! Not had much luck with MSD coils myself Or cut out MSD and buy one w/o the sticker off of ebay for less than half the price, prob comes from the exact same place. Re: What coil?
I would fly with a MSD 8207 coil, but keep in mind that with any high output coil and CD box that you need to feed it enough current. No wimpy 18ga wire should be used. If the total current draw is over 5 amps and the wire run distance is 8 ft or more then 16ga is what should be used. If the wire r...

What coil?
Swapping out an HEI distributor to a small cap distributor to gain clearance for my throttle linkage on a SBC. Going with a JEGS SSR-II Pro Series Distributor as this is a budget build. There are a ton of coils for these things, from el cheapo to big money ones. It's a pretty healthy engine with 12....

Re: M&M Competition Engines SB2.2 Heads
Last try. :D Has anyone have any personal experience with their SB2.2 heads. Any info on the castings that are used? I don't have any personal experience with their castings, but I believe they are HIP'd Edelbrock castings. I think that's what their ad on Racing Junk says anyways. When I first bega...

Re: Pipemax ID or OD
The reason I was asking is because I'm having a header fabricator here where I live make me a custom set of headers because nothing is available for the application I'm running, and custom headers are expensive. Just want to make sure it's done right the first time.
I appreciate everyone's help!

Pipemax ID or OD
It's probably in plain view somewhere on Pipemax, but is Pipemax using ID or OD?
How accurate is it?
I know it's Larry Meaux's program and he is more than top notch, and it's nothing against him for asking about its accuracy.

SB2.2 head studs
Where in the blue hell do you get those things? I guess "supply chain" manufacturing stuff has them delayed or something. The heads are GM castings, 12480011. The block is a Brodix aluminum block. Brodix doesn't have any in stock, but have two sets on order. They are part # BR HSSB2/Alum Block. They...
