Re: SB2.2 EVILNESS

I am impressed with the sb2 architecture, but isn’t there better heads for the application? I would imagine the old pro stock truck heads (I can’t remember what they are called right now, splayed valve I think) might be a better application fit. Unless intake design for single carb is the issue. Wh...

I hope you have a tall block, raised cam, 440cid, underneath those.
Or a 358 B/DA engine! :)

Re: Minimum Cross Sectional Area: Question

So, it's obvious that the standard formula for MCA regarding CID and RPM doesn't hold true for all applications. Which makes perfect sense. But does it hold true for a conventional port? More specifically, my mildly ported RHS Vortecs have an estimated MCA of 1.8 sq in. Calculators estimate that th...

Re: Minimum Cross Sectional Area: Question

IMO, the key isn't a cylinder head or a manifold, it's the camshaft. A Super Stock 358 with a 1.6in² pinch peaks at 7400. I find this statement interesting especially from a head porter, Surely application specific, I can't see running a super stock camshaft for a 170 cc head with as cast port loca...

Re: Minimum Cross Sectional Area: Question

An interesting fact and right on topic. For the record, what kind of CR does a Super Stock engine have? The 1.6in² would reflect the "stock" nature of the heads correct? I'd to be interested to see how this program would respond to the input of an SS engine. I'll have to research the details. (Love...

IMO, the key isn't a cylinder head or a manifold, it's the camshaft. A Super Stock 358 with a 1.6in² pinch peaks at 7400. Right, but that valvetrain isnt gonna last on the street tho right? Or can something work to achieve both the rpm and the longevity of parts? I always thought what they do out o...

It's a set of jet flow snake skin stems. Made by SINUS. You know same people that make Ferrea.
