Re: Alum Head Crack by Valvecover Rail

Had I opened the box and seen that the dust wouldn't have made it out of the box before it was back in the mail. Buy new parts, spend 100% quality money, expect 100% quality parts. Let them deal with the shipper, not you. Heads are everywhere.

Re: "Fluid Damper" brand of crankshaft damper

I have a 500 inch internally balanced bbc which makes roughly 700hp. I have run the Fluidamper on this engine since the beginning. I ran the engine on a drag/street car for 7+ years before I chose to freshen it up. Bearings had minimal wear and Marine Crankshaft checked the crank out and the engine ...

Re: Big block road race build 572

I think I'd go with a 112lsa but with less split on the cam. Those heads won't need too much split as the exhaust flow is very good. FWIW, closely inspect the heads and valve job. I doubt you'll more than 850hp but the trque should be in the mid 700's.

Re: New lifters on the way !!

What kind of spring pressures and lift and how long are you running these bush lifters ? We are always battling needle failure on serious street engines. Still unsure of bush lifters in long term stop start street race engines Must be a reason why NASCAR don't use the!! I'd rather take a chance on ...

Re: C8 Corvette dynos high???

60-70 yr old dudes are the guys who can afford them lol Its pretty common to see hp and tq differences in different gears on some non loaded dynos. But these numbers arent real. Show me the time slip The new Fad is no time racing so I guess nobody cares what a car runs except the guy with the most ...

Start retard? Timing on my BBC is locked out. 14 to 1 comp. I pull 20* when starting and throttle position is also a factor.

2" will not gain power on that combo. Glass packs aren't an efficient muffler. Side pipes are typically noisy.
