Re: Couple of questions on breaking in a new HFT cam

I've got a running but tired 351w that I plan on rebuilding this summer with a few minor upgrades...small cam, a little more compression, a little porting on the heads, etc. The engine doesn't have very good oil pressure, maybe 10-15 psi fully warmed up at idle and 25 psi at cruising speed. Re: Hydraulic roller lifters for Pontiac... Hydraulic Cartridge Technology

I was going to go with the usual Morel 5884 and grind a slot for full time oiling to the band, and then my customer tells me he wants to run a set of Comp 85701-16 lifters with this new HCT technology. Can anyone please enlighten me here as to what this HCT is all about? I would use what that custo...

A lot different:
They were aluminum with squarish intake ports having removable centers and no water in the ends with big wide rectangle raised exhaust ports.

Re: Ford Cleveland NASCAR cylinder heads

I understand that during the 1990s Junior Johnson was involved in the development of a set of cylinder heads for the Cleveland engine for NASCAR application. They were unusual in that they featured straight inlet ports with the pushrods going through them (in somewhat analogous fashion to the famou...

They don't put someone else's name on it and try to pass it off as the originator's real product.

Cooler intake air temp is crucial for squelching detonation; even at under 200 degrees water.
