Re: Anybody tried Fusion 360 CAD/CAM/CAE software?
I use fusion 360. Couldnt afford inventor, i like it but i am still learning. It is pretty powerful for the price, even better if free. I havent used the Cam stuff. The sheet metal functions are really good. Im about to purchase turbocad basic just for the 2d drawing stuff. 360 doesnt really lend it...

Re: If you are considering a new pick up
Just can not afford a new truck, last new vehicle I bought was a 1977 Chevy Silverado. Vehicles are kind of like wine, they need to get a few years on them to see how good they are and what breaks down on them, so I buy low mileage used stuff. Don't know how you will use the truck, but my old dodge...

Re: Anyone use Belzona to build up outside of intake manifold runner?
I have used it a few times years ago, it is worth the money, it is really tough, make sure you get close to the finished level while it is soft, when i tried to flapper wheel out the bore on a throttle body it wouldnt easily grind down but the parent metal around it would. As mentioned the better th...

Re: Problem with AFR
I have a set of Kieths emulsion tubes for my triple IDFs . Well made. I haven't got the engine running yet but like mentioned, if they dont work he will refund or make new ones that may work better. People are having good results on the DCOEs with them.

Re: Ignorant young racers...is there any hope?
Racers who work-on and actually make things for what they need to support their racer are not the norm today ... almost everywhere, it seems to be, "I can probably buy whatever I want". It used to be the innovators were common racers ... those days are long past. It is a shame, really. Th...

Re: Simple Tunnel ram Question
Its the same as your spring thing, something had to make it move first, wether that is it being pulled down and let go or lifted up and dropped, at some stage it started to move, and accelerate to whatever is the max rate, before it reached its equilibrium point. Once at that point it is the same mo...

Re: Why not?: Flywheel as crank position sensor
They can build up metal filings from the starter motor engagement which messes the signal up. Most diesel engines i work on now have a speed sensor on the fly wheel, but reference timing from another position sensor.

Harmonic oscillator. I think this makes the case that gravity does not change the energy required to accelerate up vs down. shm.gif I said i wouldnt post on this but my curiosity has over come that! What is the driving force of your oscillator? Gravity. It is then equalled in force by the spring te...
