For head/main studs, perhaps you measure stud protrusion, above the nut, to calculate stretch ? Your results may vary. flyingwedge.

if the pin is coming loose the piston is overheating. back in the day were stopped piston overheating by boost porting the cylinder and milling a opening in the piston to feed the boost port allowing the hot fuel trapped under the piston crown to move out into the boost port and allowing cool fresh...

So what I really need, is a port mold material, that can be post hardened, after it's removed. IOW's, use the plugs as core patterns, and build required tooling, off of them. Suggestions ?
