Your metering blocks are likely limiting fuel flow with Q16, metering block main passages need to be opened or replaced with a metering block like BLP's wide body block. If this thing is on the street with pump gas, a 8-71 will make more boost than the fuel can handle.

... The absolute worst thing you can do for the profile at the valve is have the rocker arm do a "Tuck under". that is reach full sweep ans start back towards the center of the valve as it completes it's lift cycle. That creates a very odd shaped profile that does not help with valve stab...

Both can occur. When it detonates, its going to be slower.
