I did a back to back same heads Hot off the Dyno, in the 80s on a Show Room Stock IMSA L69 305 engine. 45 then the 30 The results acted as if i retarded the camshaft. We made 670 on a 388 NA on race C12 fuel at 7300 W2 Oval port 200CC 305 intake 190 Exhaust 8% loss 283 cfm with Victor Intake.

13to1

If your using the original two piece main seal block, do your self a favor and have the block machined for a One piece main seal if your using a aftermarket crankshaft.

Do you want it externally period correct or period correct right through? I'd go 383 cube with scat pro I beam rods & modern pistons with 1mm/1mm/2.8mm ring pack. 292 heads if you can find them & ported by someone who knows them well. Strip dominator intake 300-25. Old style 850 pumper holl...

I agree with Charlie, While its not the number that we're wanting to hear it's still OK. The round locks are usually the same wire diameter for .975, .980, .984 and .990 Lets say the wire is .072, the formula for the groove dia. is: pin diameter plus .072 plus .010=1.057 Would be different for .990...

Thanks for the reply's. The Clevites are .005 thicker than the non coated and ACLs are a full.001 thicker than the Clevite.
