Re: Ported Chevy 083 heads, the tpi project

Runners will stay divided, we will use the stock length and 2nd harmonic.
Juhana, get a speed control. Scr is best.

Re: Ported Chevy 083 heads, the tpi project

I think they are good for a street application or a tow truck. Plenty low and mid range torque. With a 700r and 3:27 gears traction in first will be an issue.

Re: Ported Chevy 083 heads, the tpi project

I would think creating a curved roof on the intake port at the angle TPI meets the heads intake runner would make the resonance wave at that enlarged point, taller and slower, becoming misshapen…and probably dissipate the top… A larger resonance wave is slower than a small one so that part of the a...

It will at least be more important than the resonance.
I like how you think. Thanks

Thanks for the offer Bill. At this time I have no plans to cut one up unless I ruin the one I have!

Re: Ported Chevy 083 heads, the tpi project

https://youtu.be/2Papuv13AU8?si=TUi3ZJ-cZUkp8zNW I have a TPI project comimg in soon so I dug out this long dead project for some testing before the parts get here. Shortblock will be a low mile L98 so it will be cast pistons. Most likely get a custom cam ground after all the flow work has been sort...

Re: Build a Lightning Bronco?

Funny but true, Mikey was quite the driver way back when I built his Mustang but he texted me this week stating how well this engine worked out and he has never needed more than half throttle. I think that is hysterical, It is a tall Bronco on 40" tires and 5:13 gears!

Re: Chevy 193 Swirl port Mission Impossible

I enjoyed all of it! My son and I built a swirl port special a few years back that runs way harder than it should. Some mild port and chamber work, 1.6 exhaust valves, hyd roller cam, 9.3 compression, headers, rpm intake, 4180 hoĺley. Now after seeing Charlie's testing I've got some ideas to make i...

Doober wrote: Wed Mar 20, 2024 1:19 am Gotta say I enjoyed your videos on these... I'm guessin' these won't be ideal at that port volume for something like TPI unless it was a mite bit over 350ci 😇
At 240cc and over 300 cfm they will need some compression and cubes! Thanks

Great videos.
I do quite a few videos on changing ramp clock positions and recording air and dykem flow patterns. 8:00clock happens. Thanks
