Re: Any downsides to anti reversion mufflers/devices?
As it is, as a DD- it is barely tolerable noise wise. If I was to do it again- I would likely use a aerochamber. Existing muffler is Donaldson.

Re: Any downsides to anti reversion mufflers/devices?
The existing bullet is after the cat about 20in, the bullet is there because I had it on hand- no other reason- I am running a proper muffler as well.

Re: Any downsides to anti reversion mufflers/devices?
The example of the cat 'test pipe' I think earlier referenced- there was no 'chamber', it was a straight through pipe with a dummy cat shielding around it. I'm not willing to cut anything out of the system to install that particular piece- I would rather install a proper AR muffler for the effort in...

Re: Southern Rust Free Panels.
Edmonton area Alberta.
I haven't dug too deeply but I've been quoted $870 per fender by a dealer, and I haven't done body work for 15 years and I remember the aftermarket not being that great to fit.
I hesitate to look into Vancouver Island area, little salt use but moist.

Giving this a bump, Before I get serious again about tuning the fueling on the efi.....looking at these A/R devices. Which way to jump- buy an a/r muffler or use an existing bullet muffler in the system and install a fitted cone like this (example only): https://www.amazon.ca/Flowmaster-R3530-Ventur...

Re: Holley 850...Made in China?
The company in China that makes FST parts offered to make the same design for Edelbrock. I don't remember the exact price but I think it was something around $150 for a whole billet carb. The parts looked great. Most of these Chinese companies have the ability to do great work, but don't always. It...

Re: Timing belt tensioner
In the theme so to speak, Toyota 22RE timing chain tensioner- decent engines but the tensioner is a weak point for dirt or trash or whatever compromises it. Looking to replace my brand new tensioner- here dealer $250cdn, pulled ebay NOS for $45us- for such a small simple part, lots of china crap out...

As a consumer- I think of resale down the road. Will you make the money back on a more recognized block?

Re: Any downsides to anti reversion mufflers/devices?
Thinking about replacing a single 3in high flow cat with a Dynatech, emissions not required in this case- but what is a concern is noise. Will the dB stay almost the same of go up?

Re: 22RE or other SOHC
I've taken two 22R's apart and there were remains of guides in the oil pans.
Fram is the last choice for me- but I'll look into Toyota filters.
