Re: BBC question
I love diesel, but I would not put the miles on to make it worthwhile, don't tow enough, this climate is COLD, and wouldn't want a modern one off warranty. BBC would be cheaper all around- even fuel here for diesel is more expensive.

Re: BBC question
i definitely wouldn't want to daily drive a big block chevy. If you want to swap in something i would go to an LS without hesitation. The newest 5.3 or 6.0L that you can find. Use the Fitech swap harness and their drive by cable throttle body. If you could get a 2014+ with direct injection that wou...

BBC question
Theoretical question. Years ago moved from a 355 to a 383 in a '89 K1500, it has a form of TPI with bank to bank EFI, haven't crunched any numbers but the impression is fuel mileage is very competitive with the 355- improved torque is noticeable with a good tune as the trans does not shift down as r...

Re: SpeedMaster_ProCompElectronics_320CC_BBC_Heads
So I have to ask- if paying someone to do the work of making these heads 'right', how far away are you from just purchasing a decent set of heads outright?

There is eliminator kits- if you plan on keeping the truck.
The phazers have been an issue as long as I can remember- what kills them? Why hasn't ford fixed the issue- or is it a gold mine?

Re: Melling SharkTooth Oil Pumps and High Pressures: Is this a problem?
Talking with one of the Melling engineers at the PRI show, the "shark tooth" oil pump gears were designed to alleviate the higher amplitude pulsations that a normal SBC oil pump inherently produces. He said, producing those those gears did exactly what it was intended to do but, never mentioned pre...

Re: Melling SharkTooth Oil Pumps and High Pressures: Is this a problem?
I have the shark tooth pump in my 355, it's the one they claim as standard volume. It did have high oil pressure the first time I started it. It was over 90lbs when you would rev it. The pump came with 2 springs. I swapped out the spring for the lower pressure one and it helped. The spring that I p...

Re: Gm Fast Burn vs Ebay 200 Dart Pro 1 Copy
The exhaust port is raised but the bolt holes in the stock location. Takes some grinding and slotting etc to get a decent fit there. In the right hands the fastburn can be pretty damn good. If you can buy them for the price of Chinese heads i would buy them regardless if you use them on this projec...
