I believe the only draw back of your deal is if you want to bore it to 4.125. The 4in vs the 4.125 blocks, the wall thickness is different so you cant just punch it out to the 4.125 and be where you would if you ordered the 4.125 block. Ebay has a good variety of cheap stuff to get an idea of what you need then you can order a whole set of something new in +.050 -.050 or standard. You have to make sure its 10 degree locks...

If it's limited circle track heavy car it may need a lot of advance (depending). You could try a cranking compression test where you've got it installed now and retard it a couple degrees at a time while rechecking compression. A lot of work but will give you more understanding.How is it performing...
