Re: High End Piston Port 2 Stroke
Erland, Your 2 transfers just above the intake port, where are they leading to : 1) to the intake port, or 2) to their own path of some sort through the jug to the crankcase, or 3) to the combined transfer port cavity in the jug That type of boost port is fed by holes in the piston, just under the ...

Re: "Steam" /reg. cooling holes drilled in Ford 2.8 V6 heads
Take a look at the lack of passages surrounding two of the bores. Then look at the Fel-Pro intake gasket for that engine, noting the way it blocks coolant ports. See how the flow is being redirected to the hot spots?

Re: David Vizards porting book
I received my Vizard porting book today. Scanning through it the info looks to be very thorough with many color photos. On page 106 he offers some information on "calculating peak power RPM", unfortunately it seems there may be a typo issue as running numbers for me gives total garbage. S...

Re: David Vizards porting book
Anyone know how to decode the formulas for peak power RPM and port velocities given at the bottom of page 106?
Looks like misprinted gibberish to me.

Re: I finally found it!
Do a Google search on "plastic impregnated aluminum castings". Lots of information about process and providers.
The only downside is that weld repairs are almost impossible after a casting is treated.

Are you going to use the screen as a flow straightener for a motorcycle carb?

What is the best hot tank concoction for removing carbon deposits? I'd like to make a homemade hot tank for cleaning the inside of 2-Stroke expansion chamber exhaust pipes.
