Re: Clover Lapping Compound
I don't have any lapping compound in the shop. When I do heads for other shops they sometimes ask if they should lap the seats lightly before assembly - I tell them I'll be pissed if they do! Prussian blue to check a valve job, blue the valve, tap on seat, clean the valve, tap on seat again & the b...

Re: 289 Build Help
Choice 1 Remain slow, but not quite as slow. Keep the LONG RUNNER intake, and cam accordingly with a hydraulic roller around 220 @ 0.050" on the intake. May as well keep the 3.50 gear. Won't be much faster. Will run like a lightly modded original Fox body mustang from back in the day. (pretty much ...

Re: Water in the oil....sort of
Does he also have 'gasoline' spitting out the exhaust. I have exactly this problem, but only on one side - what's the reason? Frank likely the same exact reason the op's buddy has moisture in his oil, condensation. i would almost put money on it, your car has a single exhaust that splits into 2 tip...

Re: Comp Cams passes off 50 year old technology, as "New" cutting edge tech.
heck, why not sell 50yr old tech. you can see it right here on this board how many guys still want to run 30,40, and50+ years old cam designs. its beyond futile to run ancient tech, but if you can sell it, why not?? hard to blame a company for selling old junk when you cant bring folks out of the 60...

Re: A CURE FOR CANCER???
Normally don't watch this type of junk But figured I'd give a shot since there was nothing else of interest to me tonight. Still not finished it But it's interesting to see all the old vids clips. Some Dr supposedly found the cure for cancer and the FDA has been fighting to shut him down for like 4...

Re: Edelbrock's 500 HP 383 Crate Engine
Their entry level rv type cam kit costs $100 more than the same cam from Elgin, and it's a good guess it comes from the same source. It's not just a guess. They're the same exact cams, ground on the same exact cam grinders, from the same exact cam manufacturer. When Edelbrock wanted to buy my cam b...

30+ inches, its not even a discussion. as long as you can do it within your budget bigger wins.
