Re: Local GM service center
Yes, the techs should work for free, since nobody else in that chain of failures is paid on commission. customer is paying for a service, not you, and or the people around you screwing up, losing keys, being in the bathroom etc. sounds like the people you work around cost you money. charging the cu...

Re: Local GM service center

Re: Local GM service center
A normal gas engine I would do every 75,000 miles, a direct injected engine I would do every 50,000 miles. Some in the industry call some of the cleaning services wallet flushing, but again done in moderation these services can add miles to your vehicle. A brake flush at 100,000 miles is money well...

Re: Edelbrock Torker II
Gaskets are $10 and why don't you already have those laying around? How can you not try out the worst intake manifold ever made? I'd be willing to bet that the majority of the haters have never used a Torker II themselves and are just regurgitating some stuff they heard somewhere... torkerII.gif iv...

Re: Math Problem
probably need more than weight added to the other side if we're concerned about thrust, with that big angle, it makes one think that the flame front/combustion pressure is going to push heavily on the one side. easiest solution is to cut the top of the piston flat, and toss a turbo on the engine! :l...

Re: Budget SBC 415 build - feedback appreciated
looks like a pretty good combo. id probably lean more towards a performer rpm air gap even though im a fan of the vic jr. if my memory is good, the vic jr and perf rpm are pretty much the same height, and the rpm will give a little better low end.

most peoples "warped" rotors is just pad material build up on the rotor itself. rebed the pads.
