I just have a curious question about the cylinder head intake entrance and why is it built up with clay the way you all do it.What is it’s purpose because I’ve never seen a intake manifold exit that looks like that.Thanks

I’ve seen sludge like that after using royal purple but not thick and not as much but this was only with 15 runs down the track.I just quit using it and it went away.

Home Depot sell a 6 inch long rectangular grinding stone that will fit across the flange and then get yourself a tube of the valve lapping compound and then run a few passes across the flange in a figure 8 type motion and then you will be able to see if the surface is flat and square.

Just from personal experience I would not use H bearings on those ford 351 crankshaft they are a hard shell bearings and when something goes wrong they really tear into the crankshaft,just use the Clevite P bearings and your clearance will be determined by how the crankshaft grinder ground the crank...

I have a old superstock magazine from the nineties that had Mcandles a build of 440 engine in it that he said that the aluminum main caps were the ticket for building a big block mopar I think his was 500 cid engine but I would have to find it.
