Re: Cam specs
Im gonna dis-agree about the heads running out of breath at 5k rpm. I will agree about keeping a low end torque type cam for the 4.6l. The one i suggested earlier would open up the upper rpm and keep the torque unlike the stock vic cam.

Re: Cam specs
Good idea, but a computer tune would be needed to understand the extra cubes.

Re: Cam specs
Just grab a set of cams from a newer pi 5.4l 2v. They had the most breathing aspects of all the stock cams for modulars. By staying stock cams, no computer tune will be needed.

Re: Ford goes pushrod?
And Ford copied the the SBC for the Windsor with a few tweaks... blah, blah, blah... What’s interesting about the new Ford 7.3 is the emphasis on heavy duty construction and parts. Looks as it will be ripe for turbocharging. 7.3 L and lots of boost.. now we’re talking! But im sure all the internals...

Re: Ford 6.2 potential
Best to stick with the platform!!!! The new 7.3l is a stroked and maybe bored 6.2l and i base this on the 7.3l intake port spacing and port head distance being exactly the same as a 6.2l. The company i work for produce many makes of intake manifold, like the 6.2l and 7.3l (nickname 7x Godzilla) I al...

Re: Carbon Fiber connecting rods from AWA Composites/SEMA?
Funny you ask! Company i worked for did just what you described with brake rotors for jets. My answer would be no. Strength wise,yes...oil resistance, no. Carbon loves oil! Saturation would kill it all. Although through an accident we learned a carbon steel plate processed along with the carbon fibe...

Re: Ford goes pushrod?
Ive scored a full view engine pic. Picture referes to vacuum connections and such, but whats noticeably is the sparkplugs located on the exhaust side between exhaust header pipes just like a pushrod engine. Plug wires draped over the valve covers connecting to coilpacks that reside on the intake sid...

Re: Ford goes pushrod?
Lucky me, im associated with a manufacturer that is developing and producing the new 7.3l intake. Their is strong similarities like the 5.0l coyote intake and LS style intakes such as the low front entry throttle body. What ive discovered, the 7.3l intake has the same port head width and port spacin...
