Very interested

On my 69 Chevy pickup , I just found a hot wire in run (I think pink ) coming out of the ignition switch and spliced into it. I drove it for about 5 yrs, sold it to a buddy who drove it 10 or so years. No issues. This was approx. 25 yrs ago , hence the trouble remembering the wire color.

Im also interested about this subject. Speaking strictly about street engines, with 6000rpm limit, and 350-400hp from 350-383cui engine. How much in reality we are looking to lose with the old 5/64 ring-pack compared to modern thin ring? Especially at the 2000-3000rpm range where many street engine...
