Re: Chevy BowTie CNC New block,Need Advice on prep
I purchased the same block in 96 and if yours is 99 it was probably machined by uniboring in michigan, so i would double check your lifter not fitting , i highly doubt its the block, they are machined well, if your lifter is edge orifice dont add restricters unless your lifter bore clearance is exc...

I did test fit the lifter, it want fit, so they have to be honed to fit, that wasent mentioned in any of the paper work with the block :D I think on the cam journal, Im...

Nope, thats what I was asking about. they are egg shaped and look like jagged edges on the holes, see picks, The rear cam has 2 extra holes that they say restricts oil, I think the crower tappets have restrictors built into them, im guessing the ...

Re: Carb Venttube spash fuel windshield & afr below 10,launc
You are only passing a small amount of air to keep the pressure in the bowls at atmospheric, so the check balls will not likely hurt. Those are for rollover or extreme angles on the vehicle or a lot of bouncing motion. "Reduce fuel slosh from vent tube during hard launches" is what holley...

Ive seen a few guys running the lexan scoops, 2 people said it pick up some speed, not sure if they did it for the air going across the carbs, this pick guy said it was cheaper blowing it off (NOS)compared to a scoop molded into hood  Im thinking this would be close to what I made, but im thi...

(Bernoulli's Law, as applied by Venturi et al. = Carburetor. LOL) You say there was no filter on the carbs, this is what you get f...
