Re: Wrist pin bushings
I would hone the small end of the rods to accept a Chevrolet size bushing. Provided it doesn't make the rod too thin.

Re: Another reason not to buy Speedmaster shit
No all Summit brand stuff is made in China. I bought some pushrods from them says Made in USA on the pushrods. They seemed good quality. I also bought a Summit brand engine block. That is one of the Blueprint block. BPE is cast on it and Summit on the front. The block looks really nice to me. I do w...

Re: Et guesses
I'm not an AMC guy, but depending what you are trying to turn that engine in RPM I don't see that camshaft being a choke. On a 427ci engine that you are looking to turn in the 7000-7500 area I think that is ballpark. I would probably like to see it on a 108 LSA, maybe that would help it MPH better.

Re: windsor torino build ideas?
A stock Windsor with very mild porting on factory heads, a dual plane aluminum intake and a 4bbl carb will make that goal. If it were mine, I would build a dish piston 393 stroker with a small set of aftermarket aluminum heads. That should net over 400hp easily and make good torque to move that big ...

Maybe try another brand of oil and see if the problem continues. Easy way to rule out the oil.

Re: Baker Engineering Pro Cam, mechanical fuel pump
C&S pumps are great pumps also...thier customer service I cannot say is great. They still have one of my pumps I sent back for rebuild. I sent a spec sheet along in the box stating what I wanted done. I contacted them 4 times about it, the first 2 they claimed I was waiting for my turn to be wor...

Re: SBC rod to cam clearance
I seriously doubt you will get away with a standard base circle even with stroker clearance rods. I guy I know built a 434 with scat h beams and a small base circle cam and they hit. He ended up buying the Callies ultra XD rods with the canted bolts for cam clearance. After using those rods he has a...

Re: Engine Enamel Paint for block and Blower
How about an alkyd enamel? I know some old machine tools used that for finish. Seems to hold up to oil and dirt reasonable for the abuse they get put through.

Re: Baker Engineering Pro Cam, mechanical fuel pump
I bought two, one for me and one for my friends 427 Chevy, his started leaking and when we called them they told me to buy a new one from them as they changed something. Not happy about not being able to rebuild it. That was my whole reason for buying from them, I will not buy from them again sorry...

Re: Baker Engineering Pro Cam, mechanical fuel pump
Yes, 100% sure it will. I have been a 6.32 at 107 with one, I used mine with a Barry Grant bypass and it worked well. They are a wear item, I could get 3 or 4 years out of one, depending how nice you were to it. I always stored my car with gasoline in the fuel system to help it keep everything clean...
