Re: What are the changes from SB2 to SB2.2

OK. My experience with Jesel stuff only goes to about 2005. Other than the plate, I am going to say that stuff is clearly NOT Jesel and is just mismatched junk. Certainly not modern. Try to return and get you money back if you can and maybe try for the set FC-Pilot posted or similar.

Re: What are the changes from SB2 to SB2.2

OK. measure the ID of the crank pulley. Should be basically the same as your crank. If is significantly larger, it is for BBC. You can get the SBC (your crank) pulley from Jesel or often on Ebay. I don't know the difference in the plate ( I think the seal is different. If the OD of the two seals ar...

Re: What are the changes from SB2 to SB2.2

Actually looking again at your first post, is all you are trying to do is put a belt drive on your current engine with no other changes? Why the SB2 question and in this thread? All you need is a standard SBC belt drive set up. identify what you have and go from there if you can't return the setup y...

Re: What are the changes from SB2 to SB2.2

This old thread may be some help: https://www.speed-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4850 SB2 engines (complete) as mentioned use the BBC crank snout and 55mm cam. They did not have raised cam bore. The Jesel catalog does not show a "1401" kit, thus the problem the Jesel tech had. All the Je...

Re: What are the changes from SB2 to SB2.2

Are you just putting SB2 (2.2) heads on your current block or building a new engine with a SB2 block as well. Different deal and questions.

A decent snowmobile based twin of this displacement will make 50% more than this and a 1050 triple 100% more.

Re: It's all about the FUEL

This engine is rather air limited. Stock heads, valves, intake, and cam. Heads flow ~205/145 and cam is just 202/207 @ .050". It needs all the help it can get. I hadn't considered blending nitromethane with E85. That would be interesting. In either case, would 5-10% nitromethane make any subst...

Re: TFX Analyzer system

Hey Guys- I've been on this forum 15 years and whenever the topic of cylinder combustion analysis/pressures/port pressures etc comes up there is always a lot of interest. And many times have seen engine builders/developers say they want a system. Here's your chance! Make a reasonable offer. T...

Re: Carb inlet from plenum

Thanks. I think I can modify that lip and improve it. What about the question of down close to the bottom of the box or even incorporate that flat plane (outside the box) vs having the flare up off the bottom an inch or so s in the first picture? I have a big radius inlet ( a "turbo inlet"...
