Re: WANTED: WinDyn v1.16

The immediate reply I read is a message addressed to Digs, commenting that I'm supposed to be a hit run. that hurt, and indeed with your explanation it turns it around, and then my response is annoying I suggest we try to start again..... We recently bought an SF 901, in rather good condition, but ...

Re: COMP Cams LST solid roller lobes... "Top Secret"?

"So Comp has a crystal ball?? They can tell who's who on the phone?" When I call or email direct to my engine builder tech guy he recognizes who I am and that I have purchased several hundred cams. No crystal ball required. "Who do you think pays Comps bills, the so called "hard core guys" like you ...

Re: COMP Cams LST solid roller lobes... "Top Secret"?

"The second thought is since I'm not in the industry that I'm not worth their time providing the specs." This is the correct guess. A lot of people don't understand Comp's business model. There are two types of customers they do well with. (1) Guys who are happy enough picking(on their own) a catalo...

Re: COMP Cams LST solid roller lobes... "Top Secret"?

I gotta ask- what does CC offer that you cannot source elsewhere ? Probably 100 times as many masters as most other grinders. Their published master list is expansive and they have significantly more that are not published. Also more R&D going on than all other competitors combined along with more ...

Looks that way to me, one area I prefer not to use imported stuff.
Anyone dumb enough to use communist manufactured junk in their engine deserves all the problems they incur.

On the older Motorsports small blocks, we bore them for a one piece seal. Solves all your problems.

Re: Cracked seats

034 bow tie heads cracked seats. Can this be repaired You need to have it cleaned and magnafluxed to determine the extent of the crack. Based on what I see in the photo, you can likely install a seat. I have put hundreds of seats in the 034 bowtie's and never an issue with water. Typically used 1.6...

Re: Engine Dyno

Hi, I already have a room, and a good size machine shop, I have never had or used a dyno, however I find the need now, there is no one around me that I can talk to, I don't know the cost (high or low) or good or bad, I'm thinking about a Superflow 901 (?) this is a rebuilt unit for $14,000.00 with ...

Re: Calvin Elston exhausts?

Something for nothing world? Quoted me $3500.00 before he even knew what I wanted. Then said I would have to bring car to NC and leave it. Joe-71 We first used Elston's stuff 22 years ago, at that time he had the baddest shit on the planet. His NASCAR CUP headers would outperform everything out the...
