Re: Sever Duty Wrist Pin Manufactures
Hey Guys, I am looking for some info on custom or specialty HP wrist pin manufactures in the USA. I had a set lost by a courier and it takes 30 days for them to launch an investigation into their where abouts. WTF right!!! So my main issue is a set of custom pistons that are half finished because w...

Re: Super Stock Dyno Pull
The dyno I use is low vs some of the others. Last time I posted a sheet from it from another one of my personal engines I was told it was bad, so I'm not posting a sheet. I'm going to put it in the car and test the wheels off it. Then freshen it and change a few things. Like the cam, IMO it's all w...

Re: Pushrod tip wear on SBC
An inspection on engine tear down showed up this wear on the pushrod tips. Small solid roller with oil restrictors fitted at the rear oil galleys. Rocker cup inserts have no visible wear. Would this wear be caused from restricted oil flow. Also the lifter bodies have some slight galling. 0EF9E576-F...

Re: Morel ultra pro needle bearing lifters
See that they sell the bushing types a lot now. Not sure what the consensus is on these today? I have a bit of reservations towards them for the following reasons: brass bushings are not that wear resistant and the bushings rely on a layer of oil to keep the bushing from contacting. The lifters are...

Re: Mods for solid flat tappet
BBC are always going to wear out cams & lifters [ even good ones ] more quickly because [a] the 1.7 rocker ratio & the large valves. Large valves require stronger springs for control & high[er] rocker ratios put extra load on the lifter/lobe interface. Problem was NEVER the oil. Oil com...

Re: PAC springs
Thanks again Charlie for the info on the retainers and locks. =D> =D> I was able to get some coming to me but man are they really tough to deal with. They would not sell anything except to a dealer or on line through their web site. Took me about 15 minutes to just confirm if they had stock on hand...

Re: Mods for solid flat tappet
If I use a pro 55 cam core good lifters making sure the lifter bores in good shape to keep the lifters rotating use a edm lifter. How about besides this not doing just one groove in the lifter bore but two fairly close to each other then do a good job blocking off the bottom of the cam tunnel, high...

Re: Mods for solid flat tappet
Unless it's crazy tight, rod side clearance has no effect on the amount of oil flow through the rod journals.

Re: PAC springs
Hey guys, For those that use the PAC spring I am looking for some retainers to fit PAC#1903. Here's the trick I need a 10 degree retainer for 5/16 stems that will use a bead type lock. Now I looked all over their site and nothing to suggest they have something available. However they do list a reta...

Re: PAC springs
PAC shows a R-391 retainer AND L-8067 locks if I understand your application correctly.
That would be steel 10 degree retainer for a 1903 spring and 10 degree locks(radius groove) for a 5/16" stem.

Re: Superflow SF902 Fuel Turbine
Anyone have knowledge on the units used with the SF902 dyno. The one that came with my new to me dyno has 1/4 NPT in and out. Seems small to me. Any possible upgrades out there other than Superflow? The Superflow supplied turbines are made by Flo Scan, they are used primarily in small aircraft and ...
