Re: Dominator - can't even get it to idle

If you turn the screws in 1/8 turn it must be lean if it dies. Eye burning is lean.

Re: Weird colored reversion.

I've never seen that color from pump gas before. What would be in it to make that color? A mile farther north I'd say colour. :)

You won't even need a blower. Steve covered it I think.

Re: Worst-case Header Sealing Scenario? What to do?

This is what you need to fix it right. http://www.spdexhaust.com/pdfs/HeadFlanges/SBC_OEM.pdf The bottom set.
I don't think I'd buy another set of Profilers for that reason, unless I wanted to build another set of headers.

A piece of solder works smashes down & it's easy to measure.

What brand of rods? If Scat pro comp or similar profiled rod I'd say no worries.

I was recently rotating RPM manifold on table and could not figure out anything else to do except matching the ports to head.
That's more than likely what will happen, it will give me the feel good, feeling :) Like Steve says no room to do anything unless it gets cut in half.

I did a RPM air gap a few years ago . The port and runners are about the same the regular RPM I believe . The runners taper down quite a bit at the flange so a good deep port match should help. Dan
That's what I was thinking, looks like I could get in about 2 1/2 inches or to the turn.
