I'd try a little more. I'm not an AC guy but my car won't cool good till it gets to about 250 on the hi side. my 04 truck goes up to about 350 & when I checked the temp out of the vent driving down the road it was 36 deg, it's never had any added to it since I bought it.

Do you have the right tap? The pointed ones don't work on self sealing cans. Just found that out couple months ago when charging my car.

Did you degree the cam by ICL or opening & closing numbers? It can make several degrees difference.

My combo, really average build i think. 89 pump gas, 817 block, 4.155 bore, 9.9:1 compression, 6” rods, scat rotator, srp postons 1.6/1.6 LGM shafts, Weingartner profiler heads and performer rpm intake, (divider cut down, supersucker spacer yada yada yada, Heads started as 195cc and ended up 213ccs...

I had a spool like that 45 yrs. ago wasn't that purdy with the tig welds & all, just stuck some 7018 in there. :)
