Re: Pick a head, any head.

Just looked up the 2015 SS looks like the test showed 12.9@110, that's why it pulled away from your truck. I had a 383 in my 4200 lb. Monte it only ran 103 1/4 mile & had just about exactly the same chassis dyno numbers as you. What's your truck weigh? I had a 95 GMC, it was about 4700, 2wd ext. cab.

I will say, if the net valve lift is " only " .460". that is a surprisingly small amount. Mark H.

Re: Chassis dyno losses - please critique my thinking.

If you really want a heart breaker run it at the track & use one of the calculators to see how much power you have at the time.

If it's idling 14-1 when it's warmed up that makes it stinky too. Adjust to best idle highest vacuum.

If you try to lean it more you will get the stinky eye burning exhaust that most associate with being rich.

They were aluminum sprayed.
They were durable. They made through several winters on my DD truck.

Re: Recommended header coating company?

Looking to have my headers ceramic coated for some engine bay heat reduction. Is jet hot still the gold standard or is there somewhere else I should know about? If you are interested in heat reduction and not pretty looks, I would sent my stuff to "Swain Tech Coatings" to be coated with their White...

Check your secondary plates to make sure they are seated & the sec. air bleeds aren't plugged.
