Re: Anyone been able to reach Isky Cams lately?
Same thing Toby. Did a detailed quote for a guy, from top to bottom who then sent me an Email saying he purchased all the items elsewhere and then asked for the camshaft specs I was planning to use. A new crop of "ask"holes in the making. My retirement plan and living all year at my beach ...

Re: Anyone been able to reach Isky Cams lately?
Many of us old school guys are "no phone number, no business. I also respect the business owners wishes, if they only communicate through e-mails, OK by me, I am still able to accomplish what I want to do with business owners who still have customer service and a phone number. I know the world...

Re: Anyone been able to reach Isky Cams lately?
Only slightly OT, but having an online presence in Studebaker and Packard V8 discussions and being listed as a vendor in club publications, I should have a separate phone number just for that. I get calls early mornings, late nights, weekends; all nice older guys who just have a question and don't ...

Re: Anyone been able to reach Isky Cams lately?
Hi. I’ve contaded them by email and on their facebook-page 3 times for about 6 and 3 months ago, without any reply. Asked for help with a part number. In the end I figure it out, but I still invested my cash in Jesel- parts instead. Email and social media are probably the most unreliable ways to co...

Re: SBF HP & TQ GUESS!!
Result's are in and a little heart breaking.............it peaked at only 8000rpm leaving the builder head scratching, thought it would go 9000rpm. Made 1042hp @8000rpm and killer torque in the 720's. Builder might change cam and go twin carb's, up to the customer with what he want's to do. Being a...

Re: Got my 306 on the engine dyno today
I'll say it again. I think most of the broken 302 block main web stories are the result of using too much spark advance because people try to use Brand C timing in Brand F. Timing curves are brand specific now? What do you mean "now" ? Timing curves have always been application specific a...

Re: Edelbrock E force heads #5089
Need more info from you. Are you in need of springs for a Hydro roller, or a solid roller? What is your current valve spring installed height? How much lift will the Cam you are looking to use have? In need of valve spring recommendations for a stock 1986 roller camshaft I cant answer for current i...

Re: Got my 306 on the engine dyno today
A lot more restricted than the old NMRA Pure Street Nate referenced (no porting, .480" lift cam, stock lifters) but this worn out 306 has been pretty quick with so little cubes. Can't quite catch those Coyotes but maybe with a little more time...

Re: Got my 306 on the engine dyno today
EDC put up a nicely ported AFR intake manifold but what I like about the cloverleaf manifold is there is alot of experience gone into the shape and lengths of runners and cloverleaf shaping. Would be interesting to try a few different styles of spacers but I don't know if there would be a benefit c...

Re: Got my 306 on the engine dyno today
I have seen double peak or camel hump torque curves before. What I don't ever remember seeing is only a 100 RPM spread between peak torque and peak HP. Can anyone explain to me what may cause this? Stan They usually dont. The camshaft and cylinder head the engine has it may have another peak in it ...
