Re: importance of and improving power curve

Lift could possibly calm the valvetrain even more.....depending on how you go about getting it.. Or exaggerate an issue that you may have. True...lol How big of pushrods are in it? The last engine I did, that spread port BBC that was ignored in a BBC thread, that actually exists, was over shadowed ...

Re: importance of and improving power curve

What do you think about trying more lift? That could possibly be better everywhere in that rpm range.... This,... from the guy who said not to change things in the valve trian cause it seems happy now ??? Lift is on the table for change for next year. :D Randy Lift could possibly calm the val...

Re: google shut down and youtube?

Probably down for some sort of maintenance. The other night I noticed YouTube didn't work on my Smart Tv, or my phone. Didn't try the computer. Figured it was some sort of issue or maintenance thing. So I wasn't the only one.

Re: BBC output overview.

OK guys we have had our fling- can I now get back to posting my findings on hopping up BBC for those who might want to know. If your one of the yeses don't be the silent majority because I am getting close to fed up with all the negativity I am seeing. DV Yeah, please do. It's easy to get sucked in...

Unfortunately, David obviously doesn't want a technical discussion. He only wants to make technical statements....? Any questioning of his views is taken as an attack on his intelligence, and is rescued by the faithful. Hard to progress that way........imo That being said, I have NEVER seen a full ...

Re: Changing head gasket to lower comp

Thanks Bill. I use this as a guide: http://www.csgnetwork.com/compcalc.html At .080 with everything I can put in as accurate as can be, I can get it down to 10.6. Motor is fresh and not fired yet. So going the route to take it all back out, unassemble, machine and back again isn't really what I wan...

In response to the bold, if that is true, why do they use multi angle intake seats? Call Richard Maskins, CfE, mbe, etc, they will tell you the same thing.

AND WHAT EXACTLY WOULD BE :- 'the same thing' ?
DV
About using multi angle vs radius intake seats.

Last couple weeks project.IMG_20181007_141730515~2.jpg Just in case you don't understand I actually do this for a living. Is that the one you had at the central Illinois street car race? Re: BBC output overview.

Not wanting to start an argument here but if you go back to Darts wet flow testing you will find that David was involved with that from the get go, so my guess is he has data from that. The best seat that my machine shop has found is a "multi angle" but looking at it you would think it's ...

Re: BBC output overview.

Because you are coming at this as a racer you are wrong on the red part of your quote. If you start thinking this out as chief engineer for a production line engine you will find a different outcome. As for the blue part of your post - that is right on the money! DV But we aren't talking about prod...

Re: BBC output overview.

Erland, A reply to your last post. I am going to be blunt and too the point here as questions like this are stalling me going to the next phase of my BBC stuff. Q:- Please explain, how do you know that it needs more bias and not something else? 60 years of flow testing and data/trend mining the res...

Re: BBC output overview.

Well, those are the prettiest damn seats I've seen. I'm guessing you've got the "fuel shear" argument addressed- perhaps forthcoming? Radius intake seats flow a little better than a multi angle seat. But they don't make as much power from my testing. Or Rheere and Morrison's, Cfe's, Bes's...
