I would love to have that block if I were to go .060" . You have plenty of thrust and that is the most important.

Re: what i have been doing during isolation

I see a new board coming!! Been busy with HVAC and bringing the Chassis to a 7.50 spec. Thought it would be a piece of cake but after 20' of 1 5/8" and 20' of 1 1/2" and 10' of 1 and 20' of 1/2" I think we are ready to certify.. Going from a sportsman 8.50 to a 7.50 is a trip in a small car like my ...

Re: Flat tappet vs roller

I would suggest that if one has to worry about break-in oil to help seat rings, they should go back and properly hone the cylinder walls. Are you saying you can use any engine oil if you have the correct hone job for the ring pack? Can you expand on your explanation please I think what David said a...

We set the pre-load on the lifters ran it and double checked after a week and haven't had a reason to re-check. 50+ miles a...

In the end - in the 60s and 70s, HP ratings were likely higher than they really were, and you didn't make any drastic changes, maybe even throttled back a little, except for the intake.
Except for the high performance engines that were shut off 3000 rpm less than when they started making steam..
