Darrin you must have been very lucky with the 1500 you bought.I unfortunately was not, lol. I sold my 20 and replaced it with the 1500 and it was delivered with the spindle unable to move up or down.Sunnen had to replace the entire head/spindle casting. Also the craddle was/is so stiff that you canno...

yes I owned a sgm1500 and it had the same issuses.you just had to center the head better.I usually would check the cutter body fit into the ball cup of the machine after I center floated it by moving the cutter body up and down feeling for the resistance of an off center lock. I believe that it was ...

Those aftermarket valve guides for imports are junk. I yet to see any brand that resolves the excess clearence issue. Every time you replace the guide on a toyota, honda, mazda etc you have more clearence than you want or need. It is hard to get good guides. Mostly too big on the OD and ID. Yep,I j...

Experience has taught me to eventually quite, walk away and think about it later. If you walk away from the problem, the light turns on about 3:00am in the morning while your drifting off to sleep. you will figure it out at the point where you are most relaxed and NOT thinking about the problem! Yo...

Hydra,I feel your being overly harsh in your statements about Larry also. While I also don't agree w/all his claims and practices and have gotten into some disscussions with his followers that were heated at times I still respect his opinion. He has been around racing for too long not to know many thi...
