Re: AMSOIL Masters of Motors presented by JE Pistons

Guess I should have looked in the Off-Topic area.
There is a thread there on it.
(try to stay out of the gutter down there)

AMSOIL Masters of Motors presented by JE Pistons

Is this a replacement for the Engine Masters competition?

Saw it on Engine Builder: Amsoil Masters of Motors

Re: when are 3/4 grooved main bearings needed for bbc ?

Tuffxf, is there another passage from the main to the rod journals? (must be, just not seen?)
Does it intersect the cross-drilled passages?

Looking good to me so far.
Is there an input for torque converter stall rpm?
Or maybe a suggested rpm range for it?

Re: cheap chassis to save drag racing

I would have thought a short dragster would be a good idea? ( I have one of course, 180" long :) ) When Junior Dragsters started there were a ton of new kids getting into racing. Dads who previously had no racing experience put their kids in JD. Well, when they turn 18, where do they go? If the...

Re: engine masters live feed?

I quit using anti-sieze because it caused a lot of ignition problems.

Re: engine masters live feed?

We were playing games with some different spark plugs. The particular set we ran had 4.9k resistors, there is a possibility that the 7 box and the 2 amp coil were jumping through the porcelain to the head or something of this nature. Do you use something like 'never sieze' on the plug threads? :?:

Re: 4130 chromoly tube

Probably off topic.
Do you do any cryo treatment on your stock?
I guy I know started having his barrels and stuff on his trap guns and others things.
He said it was like night and day. No wear hardly and shot straighter, etc.
Maybe it would help with your problem?

Re: Question for Warp Speed

Sorry, I didn't mean it in a derogatory way!

I lived close enough to Indy that I saw a lot of stuff being sold and wished I had a chevy>
(or they ran Pontiac engines)

I did buy a lot of the non-engine specific parts that were sold though.

Re: How much is the hit worth?

Thanks for that explanation, not exactly what I thought it would mean. That would be like watching the last yellow, except you'd be watching the other car. So, I'd be doing things to make my car 'look' like it's not moving when it is moving. (by the time the other guy notices the car is 'leaving' yo...
