Do you remember the software package offered a few years ago.
Several years ago there was a software package offered here for $100. It had performance trends, pipemax and couple other software deals. My computer crashed, is there a way to recover these?

Re: Grinding a cast 3.48" crank to 2.00" rod journal?
Scat and Eagle stuff isnt available right now. I found 3 brand new chevy crate engines. Cranks in these say they are nodular iron. One is going in a R&D engine for the winter to do some dyno work.

2 bbl rules here. Have to use a chevy 5.7 rod can be eagle or scat. Looking in catalog it shows 2.00 rods weigh 40 grams more, so Its the same forging just machined smaller.

Re: Grinding a cast 3.48" crank to 2.00" rod journal?
This is for a very strict set of rules on a dirt oval. Cam lift and vacuum rules, I feel like Ive maxed out my ring package and cam package. Just looking to drain some more juice from the turnip.
GM forged cranks are getting tough to find.

Grinding a cast 3.48" crank to 2.00" rod journal?
Due to the rules we have to use cast cranks. I want to build this as an experiment but I am unsure if it will weaken a cast crank too much. Anyone done it? Dirt oval 6500-7000 rpm

Re: Oil Smoke driving me crazy
Update** Found an issue when I was putting this thing back together. My TDC mark that I made on my balancer now looks to be 22* advance. So I would have had 56* total timing in it. Ouch. I made a big mistake. I think all the oil problems came after I hurt the pistons and they couldn’t control the r...

Re: Oil Smoke driving me crazy
Any chance that it's sucking oil through the rocker studs? Could have... I went back and resealed. This is my theory I had those wrong intake gaskets, I think there was a vacuum leak and it sucked oil. I think that detonated the engine and caused the damage. Once I went back and fixed the intake le...

Re: Oil Smoke driving me crazy
Maybe you had fuel wash on initial start up..they do look scuffed which will pinch oil ring first. Fuel in the oil too by the looks of the bearings. How did it start up, quick with minimal cranking and fuel? Fired right up. I didn’t do my normal break in though. Since it has a roller cam I didn’t r...

Re: Oil Smoke driving me crazy
Not enough clearance, it scuffed the skirts and pinched the oil ring. .0035” skirt clearance.
